I have a wideband in my car and am going to be getting some other gauges soon and want to fab up something so I can place them where my climate control is like I see some cars.
Here is a picture of a DA that also has it done.

I don't mind losing those 2 vents since I never use my heater vents since my defroster warms the car up enough and it's not too cold around here.
With this being done, you would basically lose all your options I'd assume for the fan speed and all that, but is there a trick people do so they somewhat keep all the options or is this mainly for track?
I was thinking maybe I could wire it all up to a switch or two so when the switch is on, the heater blower motor turns on.
I was just wondering if anyone has done something like this before or if there is a certain way this is done? Thanks

All you need to do is place mode motor into defrost or defrost and floor, then unplug it, [it will stay on defrost/defrost floor] you can add a 5 position switch, [off, on 1, 2, 3 and 4] or relocate the stock blower switch and your done.
Defrost and heat from the defrost vents or defrost and floor vents and full control of blower motor, adding a simple "pull" cable will also allow for heat/temp. control.
Any auto parts store will have the 5 position switch, classic car blower control switch and a old school choke cable will work for the heater hose valve. 94

Cool, thanks for all the info, I appreciate it! That seems pretty simple, the only tricky thing will probably be fabbing someting up.
