Default Push Button ignition

i'm considering installing the push button ignition out of the S2000 on my civic. does anyone know where i can get installation instructions to see how difficult this will be?

i think you just need the battery wire to connect to the starter wire or something like that and it'll start right up

Topgun;

You are not going to get any form of installation instructions!

You can't just hook it up to the battery and then the starter or you would end up with it working without the key in the ignition and it in gear! NOT SAFE!!!

There are a couple things that you have to keep in mind;

First off is that the power that goes to the switch has to be "switched" so that it only works when the ignition is turned on. The other thing is that it should run through the switch that senses that the clutch is depressed.

I'd recommend that you get one of the factory (Helms) manuals and get somebody to help you out. I'd make recommendations, but I've got no idea if there are items like a starter relay involved or not.

Your also going to need a relay to wire in the push button start if you still want to use the key. The key would only be used to set the key cylinder to the run position. Then button would then start the car from there.

i wasted my money on the fricken ignited one the only cool thing about it was that i removed my lighter and it took the spot perfectly on the dounside it didn't really work that well and instead of glowing blue it glowed puke green worst 50 i ever spent not including altezzas th eday they came out

...check this out...... you have to know how to use relays and such...... but hold on...... this is how you wire it up... reall easy.... http://www.oichan.org/mods/starter/starter2.htm and this is where you buy it.... dont get it from ebay..... you will over pay and wont get what you want..... buy it from this place..... http://www.hparts.com/cgi-bin/bcimports/623550.html the part number is.... Part # 623550 and make sure you use a bosch relay..... i tried using a fake relay and it didnt work..... and dont use any thin *** wiring..... for the del slo it only took me 30 minutes.... thats becouse on the website its based on a german car.... the del slo is totally different.....
