Default Pros and cons of a Integra A/C compressor vs. SOHC A/C compressor

What would the integra compressor have over the SOHC D series compressor ?

Would using one have a positive affect on the a/c performance ?

I mean, the teg has a superior a/c unit (blower) as it is higher capacity, so would the compressor, by default have better performance than the civic unit ?

Please don't flame this, I'm serious in this query. If I can mod the lines to use the teg compressor and get better performance from my a/c system... I'd do it in a heartbeat... not to mention, I have 2 teg units lying around doing nothing..... and no sohc unit...lol

Opinions ?

I never thought the a/c unit was any different.

From what I know the bolt holes will not line up. You can put the D series compressor on the B engines using the Del Sol a/c bracket but not the other way around. There might be another bracket out there that I dont know about though. Good luck.

From what I've seen the teg comps are bigger and beefier.
And I think the evap is as well, but you prolly can't use a teg evap or condsensor on a civic. mounting and fitment issues.
Prolly need custom lines made to put them in a civic though.

Well, just for anyone's info... yes, the integra a/c unit (blower under the dash) is a high capacity unit... bigger than a civic's... (it was a big selling point for integra's over civics). The compressor is also larger, but condenser seems to be the same size. The reason I'm considering a dohc compressor is that I have a dohc motor and a/c bracket.

So far, I've sourced some dohc line ends, so it looks like I'll run the dohc compressor as soon as I find someone that can tig weld where I am.
