You need to visually inspect and plastiguage the bearings to determine whether they need to be replaced or not. With only 65K, I doubt it.

Check piston ring end gap by pulling the rings off, putting them in the cylinder one at a time, pushing them down to about 15-20mm from the bottom of the bore using the piston and measure the ring gap.

Why do you suspect such a young motor might need rings and/or bearings?

I need to change my rings too!

I have 66k miles on my car, already bruned a valve, burns oil like crazy. fixed the head, and still burning alot of oil. so now im going to buy new rings.

do we have to take part the crank to take out the pistons or is there a way to just take out the pistons without doign all this torturous work??

and, for stock motors, do we bu ythe standard rings? of course right?

i found a whole set of pisotn rings for 42 bucks. and they are a reputable place so i know they are good.

help me, help me please!

My compression is 195 for pistons 1-3 and piston 4 is 210. I didnt do a leak down test. but i was told it could be my blow by rings.???

i would leave the rod bearings alone and the rod bolts. since you've got the head off already. undo all your rods from the crank and then push up the piston and rods up threw the cylinder. that's it, if you run into any problems, be creative with it.
