Default problems with vtec switching over

i have an 00 gsr and it happens about every 2 or 3 weeks i will be on the highway or had just got off the highway when i go to crank into it and when it goes to cross over from the low cam to the high cam. it throws my check engine light on and it bounces off the high cam. i thought it was an low oil thing but the oil is at normal 4 quarts. now it i guess goes into a limp mode and runs fine after that just with 50% power. i drove it like that back and forth to school and one day i started it up and no cel and it ran great. just the other day it did it again but i was getting off the highway this time.

any info would be helpful?

....so your vtec solenoid broke and you wanted to get a new one but since you cant spell they thought you wanted a vtech phone in place of your vtec solenoid. Make sure you look at your valve cover next time you want to order a new one.
