problems with slotted rotors
I was wondering if any of you have had problems with slotted rotors warping within about a year. Ive gone through my second set and have just about had it and Im considering just going back to the stock ones. It doesnt seem like the performance ones make much of a difference anyways. So if you have any input on this subject i would like to hear it. please let me know what brand you bought and the +/-'s you experienced with them. thanks

Be careful about buying "performance" parts. Just because it says performance on the label doesn't mean it holds up under any real use. I don't know anyone who is really into performance who uses slotted rotors. Hang out on the Competition forum and see what the roadracing guys use. Usually is is a high quality OEM replacement rotor, like the Italian-made jobs available at AutoZone. Lifetime warranty, too!

I have power slot rotors on my Integra, stainless brake lines, synth. fluid, and EBC brake pads. I have had them on for about a year and a half and I have run 15 or so autox events with them. Nothing ever wrong, they hold up to the abuse and resist fade way better than the stock ones. I would recomend them, but if you can afford it go with something like the Wilwood kit.
I also have Powerslot's w/ Goodridge SS lines and AEM pads...No problems here.
Did you torque your lugs to 80ft/lb in a criss cross pattern? That's the most common reason for rotor warpage.

well the first set i had bought was powerstop, this past set was super slot (yeah I know its a knock off i bought them in a hurry and I should have done more research, honestly I thought I was buying ebc brand rotors when I ordered them). However I never torque my lugs, which could definately be a reason since I drive really hard and do autox
