Problem with throwout bearing in cable tranny..
I have a 91 crx si cable tranny that I am putting a new clutch and throwout bearing into..
I removed the 12mm bolt that holds the shaft in place but couldnt get the shaft out.. I found out on HT that I can install the throwout without removing the shaft which I have already done but the problem now is that I cant get the shaft and the threads to line up..
When I try to screw in the bolt I messed up the threads on the bolt.. I have another bolt I can use but how do I line up the shaft with the release fork???

my friend this all seems very simple. where are you going wrong. i might not be familiar with the your tranny but i have worked on several cable and hydrualic trannies. The shaft should move when you rotate the lever. they are connected together. and yes...... you didnt have to remove the shaft to replace the throw out bearing. the spring that holds it in place slides right out. good luck!
Well I think my problem is that the shaft is kinda stuck on the fork from years of being "stuck" there.. And I moved it a little when I tried to remove it.. Im going to try to fix it tonight.. Ill let you know how it goes..
