Problem installing stock suspension
I'm trying to return my car back to stock form since the leasing company is coming to inspect my car before its return.
The car is a 00 Si, my problem is that the shock assembly won't fit, I tried pushing the brake downwards and I still need an inch of room, is there a bolt that I have to remove besides the two on the top of the strut and the one holding the shock assembly in place at the bottom?

when i changed my suspension from stock to tokico's i still had to stand on the brake assembly (i know that i prolly wasnt a good idea to do that) to fit the assemby in, it was hard as hell, but it worked, i took it for an alignment after that of course....
I'm reinstalling the stock suspension.
The aftermarket shock assembly is a lot shorter than the stock ones so theres no problem putting them in. Does anyone know how I can make the brake go down another inch or two? Is there a bolt I can remove?

There is a 14mm bolt that attaches the fork to the strut --take that off and separate the fork from strut. Then there is a 17mm bolt that attaches the fork to the lower control arm. Move the fork out of the way and then the strut should have enough room to drop down and out. PS:dont forget to unbolt the brake line and fish the stock strut assy correctly though the brake line hose. hope this helps/
also try having someone stand on the other side suspension. This will move the other side down via the SWAYBAY. This gives you some room on the side your working on.

Do you have both front (or rear) wheels off the ground? The suspension will be compressed by the swaybar if you don't.
there is a support that has two bolts on it in the back and its really easy... now the front just stand on the brake assembly.. get a friend to help ya

i know that, im just saying that i had to stand on the wheel in order for it to fit for me... to drop it an extra couple inches....it fit perfectly fine after that, with a lot of room to play with
good luck

Standing on it doesn't help me, it gets maxxed out and I still need another 1-2 inches...
Anybody have a diagram to show me what bolts? I'll try to find one too.
