What some goods tips on shipping an engine??
I'm going to be shipping a b18b(engine and tranny).....plus i won't be seeing the engine for a month either....i'm shipping it from germany to the states with my household goods so it's going to take awhile to get there....

 

Drain all the fluids...wrap with a few hundred layers of that plastic seran wrap crap...I dunno, just package it so it won't get all messed up

 

Set it in an old tire. The will give it some cushion and keep the oil pan from getting jacked. Then strap it down tight inside a crate.

I would also fog the engine- coat the cylinders with oil to prevent rust and then cap all openings to prevent things from entering the engine.

 

man i'm sooo jealous. I just got here and it's so hard to work on my car around here. Any good dyno places or anything around you?
