Prelude wiring harness question.
Someone told me that an OBDI Prelude VTEC wiring harness is the same as an OBDI Accord VTEC 5sp wiring harness. Does anyone know if this is true? I am referring to the engine harness as well as the harness that connects the engine to the ECU. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Yes, I would believe this is correct for the Accord EX 5 spd.
Due to they both have the same sensors such as VTEC, EGR, knock sensor and such.
As for connecting to the ECU, all US OBD1 connectors are mainly the same and can connect into eachother.
HTH.

OK I found this on Honda-Acura.net. It is instructions on putting an OBDI H22A into an OBDII Accord. Would this also work in a '96 OBDII Prelude that had an H23A? (It has TDC and CKP sensors on the oil pump.
obd1 engine into obd2 car (5 Spd Only)
ex. 93 H22a into 97 accord
Get your favorite obd2-obd1 conversion harness, skunk2, hondata, etc
Move the crank angle sensor wires from the crankpully/timing belt area to the distributor.
Repin the distributor connector using the obd1 plug that should have come on the engine, put
the 2 wires you just moved into the 2 left over pins on the plug.
