Prelude piston swapping question....
My friends H22 motor that he bought has 4 blown pistons (cracked ringlands)
It's a 92 JDM with P13 stamped on the pistons. My friend that sold him the motor included some P5 Pistons.
The P5 pistons come with some really thin rods compared to the JDM ones. I also noticed that the P5 uses floating pins to connect the the piston to the rod. The JDM one, has a pressed in pin.
Is it possible to swap and use the JDM rod and put it onto the P5 Piston? I'm not sure which H22 the P5 came from (Non VTEC? Type S? ) The face of the piston is definetly flat compared to the high compression JDM which has a bump on it.
