97+injectors,..... ok I have a set and want to put them on my b-series motor harness (obd1) I also have the clips...taking a look at them I see that the yellow and black wire (ground i assume) on each injector is on the opposite side compared to the stock B-series harness, My question is If i were to put these injectors on the stock b-series harness will they work being that the ground is on the opposite side, anyone that has done this before??
The 97+ Prelude injectors have black tips, like this:

The brown injector on top is from a 2000 Civic Si.
I had both injectors flow tested at RC Engineering. The Si injector is 240cc/min and the Prelude injector is 290cc/min. You should definitely NOT be running leaner with the Prelude injectors!

i heard that if you plug up prelude injectors onto a b series motor its not good because of the ohm load or something, is that true?

The blue tipped injectors are D series injectors!
XSi: Yes, the 1990 B16A has low impedance injectors. An OEM upgrade for that setup would be to use the 1992-1996 Honda Prelude injectors. They are also low impedance and flow 330cc/min.

sorry sonny if im asking too many ?'s. so you area saying that 97-below lude injectors wont work cause my friend has a set? also would 310cc injectors be too much for an all motor car? thanks for all the help again!

I would not recommend doing this unless you are going to use some huge injectors and some engine management to control them.
As far as fuel for an all-motor setup, you can get quite a bit of power out of the stock injectors with an upgraded fuel pump. I got about 180 whp out of my supercharged Civic Si with the stock injectors and a high pressure pump.
If you upgrade to the 290cc Prelude injectors, you can probably get about 200whp out of your setup with the stock pump before you max out the pump.
Fuel delivery is a combination of fuel pressure, injector size, and injector duty cycle (aka injector "pulse width"). You can increase fuel delivery by increasing any or all of the 3. Generally it is most desirable to run low fuel pressure, big injectors, and low injector duty cycle.

What will the 96 and earlier injectors look like (color)? Just bought some off a guy in tx.
You should use an ohm meter on the injector contacts and verify that they are low impedance injectors. If they read is around 3 ohms, they are low impedance. If it is 10 ohms or higher, they are high impedance.

thanks a lot sonny for your knowledge. well im looking to use the lude injectors on a turbo kit that i put together. its consists of a cartech fpr, bosch inline pump, and a s-afc. would that be good to control the injectors? also it would probably be best to just find some 97+ lude injectors huh?
The Prelude injectors + Cartech FMU + S-AFC + fuel pump is a pretty workable combination for about 10 psi of boost. You can boost more than that, but your fuel system will be under an extremely high (and dangerous) amount of fuel pressure and most pumps will not keep up beyond that. Try to keep your maximum fuel pressure under 100 psi. I try to keep it under 50psi, but without engine management and 450cc injectors, that's not possible.
Most turbo kits that use stock injectors use a 12:1 FMU. With the low impedance Prelude injectors, you can probably use an 8:1 disk in the FMU.
