OK guys Ive recently pulled my motor out twice in the last month or so and i ran into window problems both times. first time the motor was out my driver window wouldn't open unless the door was open. then i pulled the motor out did the clutch put it all back now neither window works wtf? the only plug that is even remotely close to window wires would be the plug on passenger side but the clutch fluid reservoir. all fuses and relays test good and switches are good but i got nothin. almost wondering if i can straight wire my windows to new switches and bypass everything any help please.

 

anything guys im stressin and dealin with mad rain im loosing it

 

to get the windows up, yes you can jumper 12V directly to the window motor.
most likely the harness that runs form the chassis to the door has a broken wire or bad connection in it.

 

what wire on the motor ive been tryin to jump it but no luck please help

 

do i jump it at the wires from the switch or direcly from the motor? i have a 96 civic ex i need the wiring diagram for the power windows

driver's door - red (or red/blue) and yellow (or red/yellow) is the drivers window motor
passenger's door - yellow (orblue/red) and red (or blue/white) is the passenger's window motor.

Keep in mind these wire colors are at the motor not at the switch.

at the respective switch
driver's window motor - red/yellow and red/blue
passenger's window motor - blue/white and blue/red

positive vs negative. no idea, try it one way if it goes the wrong way, switch it.


keep in mind, hard wiring your windows sounds like the easy way out, but it's going to create problems. Fixing the real problem will be the best solution.

 

i pulled the door harness out and the junction plug is shot there is like five wires broke can i bypass that plug and staight wire all the original connections?

yes you can connect the wires directly around the plug, but if you ever have to remove the door life is going to suck a little more...
