If I wanted to install power windows in my car what will I need? Will I be able to get all the parts from a scrapyard? And how hard is it to do myself?
Thanks

hey,
scrap yard? no way youre gonna find a car with power anything but if you do i bet i was really hard doin it. a place called JCwhitney sells power window kits, not sure how much. if youre not that skilled with electronic or is not good with youre hands, i think you'll have a hard time doin it, im not even sure if you can finish it. check it out i think the web site is http://www.jcwhitney.com im not sure. tell me how things turn out.

Relatively easy. Most yards will remove the power accessories for resale but they cost about half of what the parts cost new. The one thing you will need to do is get the necessary wiring off a dead Civic (or whatever). You should also get new door panels from a dealership if you want it ot all look stock.
I did the whole project (windows and locks) for a little over $500 which might sound like a lot but it's all OEM and it looks completely stock.
