Power Window issue...need help with troubleshooting
Last night, I left my car sit for today until this evening. Tonight, when I go to pick it up, I went to put both windows down for a nice evening spin. The gist of this is, the passenger window worked last night, and now it doesn't...just like that. I'm pretty sure there's no electricity getting to that side. FWIW, the driver window works perfectly.
My first thought was that it's merely stuck, as it stormed pretty hard last night so I took a small flatblade screwdriver and made sure the seal wasn't sticking to the glass all the way around. That didn't do anything, so I took the screwdriver and tried to "help" it down a little while operating the switch by getting over it between the glass and the seal. Nothing. The next thing I noticed was that the usual dimming of the headlights that happens when you operate your windows didn't happen when I hit the switch.
Anyone familiar with this mystery? I'm okay on the mechanical side, but when it comes to 12V electricity, I'm really not that bright. Of course I'm only guessing it's electrical related, so it might not be. Any areas I should look at specifically? They were lubricated last month, btw.
Thanks in advance,
Mike

Now that I think about it, the switch on the driver door may be in the "off" position. If that's the case, I think I'm going to cry of embarassment.
lubing the tracks with white lithium grease works wonders. I had that problem not too long ago, and once I sprayed them, they worked like new. Also, if you take your interior panel off the door, there's a little bolt that goes through the inner door skin that you can loosen and adjust the track with. Making the track a little tighter is always a good help, as well.
By the way, the switch was off! Flipped it on, and of course it worked.

What year/make/model??
observing domelight/headlight brightness while working the switch is a trick used by the pro's.. good diagnosis!... just don't force the window into place cause it doesn't take a whole lot to bend the p/w actuator/regulator assy...

heh, yeah...it's easier than hooking up a circuit tester
The car is a '99 Civic Si, but like I said, it was stupid...the master switch was "off."
