After I built my last motor (which took 2 months) I lost my ps belt in the process. I drove for a month like that until I finally found the belt and put it back on.

So yeah, that month sucked. Worst experience ever! Seeing as I'm a bodybuilder, I wouldn't exactly call myself weak, but damn - it's so hard to turn the wheel. It's about 5x harder than a car that didn't come with ps.

So no, you can't just remove the belt.

I took the pump and everything off my '91 Integra. It had 15 inch wheels, and was not easy to park, but I drove it like that for 3 years no problems. I am told it is bad on the rack to drain all the fluid and then just loop the lines, but I never had any problems.

the pump is making hella noise and it's making my car idle hella hard. Ii'm thinking it's the bearings in the pulley? Just wondering how much it'll hit my pocket book.

^ quit whining you *****! i'm NOT a bodybuilder and i dont bitch about not having power steering. sure it'll suck when the car is below 15mph, but i dont mind it so much. it doesnt suck as much as some people make it out to be. the only thing you have to remember at ALL times is you DONT have power steering, so dont try to park/backup/turn slowly with one hand. i guess it just depends on how much of a little *****/bitch you are and if you can deal with one less creature comfort.

No, you ******* retard - driving a car without power steering is NOT the same as driving a car with the power steering belt removed.

ive been driving with PS for the longest time... its not that bad. you get use to it... or at least i did. its actually not as bad as you think it is... i mean im no body builder either, but parking a car with 1 hand and no PS isnt as bad as you really make it. plus no PS is better at high speeds.
