New to site. I have a side project going. I understand that earlier Honda engines (d16, h22 & others) were counter-rotating engines. Were the power steering pumps also counter-rotating or were they placed to avoid that?

 

Yes, they also spin counter clock-wise, or they counter-rotate as you stated.
