Default Power Steering Adjustment

As I'm sure you other Integra owners have experienced, I feel that the Integra power steering system is much overboosted at highway speeds and disconnects the car from the road. I don't want to remove my power steering system because my car is a daily driver and I parallel park every day, but I would like to see if there is any way to adjust it. Even if it hasn't been done before; is such a modification theoretically possible? Why does this happen most importantly?

Thx,
Ben
