Default Power delivery questions. Experiance needed.

I just changed the distributor on my hybrid swap (b16 block, GSR head) and now im noticing the engine has less pull at half throttle than it does at light throttle.

Example, I can give it about 50% throttle, then while im actually letting off the throttle, the car seems to speed up. This, naturally, is disconcerting. The car doesn't have the linear powerband it once did because of this bogging. Im hesitant to use the word bogging, its more like a loss of power, not a true bog.

I will re-time it to 18 degrees BTDC to see if anything changes. Could it be a cap/rotor?

Second question. I have a slight hiccup in power at light throttle. Its a constant surge in power that happens about every other second above 2k RPM. It goes away (or at least isn't noticeable) at larger throttle openings. Also, at small throttle inputs, the car almost seems to have "dead spots" where the power seems to leave the car. Its usually for about 100-200rpm in the 2-3k range.

Please help me out, im willing to try anything to get my car to stock drive-ability again.

kinda sounds like detonation to me...Do you hear any "rattling" under the hood when this happens?
Id try setting the timing back to the stock 16* and see if that helps. Dont forget to jump the service connector. Many folks forget to do this when they set timing.

(Yay!!! My first post)

Doesnt act like detonation, but it does sometimes act like fuel delivery problems. Im going to re-time the dizzy, make sure everything is copasetic, then check my timing belt for problems. Can it be a TPS or some other electronic gremlin thats making my car do this?

Could the O2 sensor not be throwing a code but still be going out on me?

What is it suposed to be? I have a S-AFC and I can just run the sensor check to see how its doing.

I havent been able to really delve into this problem as much as I would like. Work and such.

OK, its getting worse, its now a full on stumble in power, and surges at light throttle. Checked my TPS, it was at around .5xxx at idle at 4.5v at WOT, is this right? Im thinking maybe the O2 is on the way out.

Help!
