basically my current AC Compressor clutch assembly is whining like a bitch, i have another AC compressor, but don't want to lose my freon (just charged it)...anyway around this?

 

Yes you can change over the clutch, but it's a pita and you need snap ring pliers and what not. Never tried it myself but my mechanic had no problem with it. Also, you're gonna lose your freon if you open the system either way, that's why you need to go to an a/c place so they can take it out before you remove the compressor then put it back in when the compressor is reinstalled.
