I heard that U could port the intake manifold on a B18A and get more HP than getting the B18B manifold and throttle body.. Help me out... True or myth????

I figured so... But U never know with hondas.... I was just told the main diff between the B and the A is the intake manifold thats where the 10 hp diff comes from

The main difference between a b18a and b18b is in the cams. then there is a small difference in the intake manifold, and i believe that is it.

Got these pics off G2IC. This particular "Euro" B20 manifold is the same as a B18B. Looks like quite the difference to me...

Notice the longer runners and larger plenum...

These intake ports correspond to the ports on the head. HUGE difference...

yeah huge difference in the intake ports alwayz wanted to see a comparison pic of the 2 manifolds.
also the tb on the b18a is 58mm and the b18b is 60mm
and the difference in the cams is like going from a sir1 cam to a gsr(sir2)cam. saw a nice dyno on it, gain of 6whp@ 6500 still no gain in low and mid but good top end, pretty nice considering you can find a pair for about 40 bucks.
