Default Porting b16a head.....

I know the pros will not want to help me out on this but any help from anyone will do. I'm getting ready to port and polish my head at school and everyone there is a domestic fan (even the professor) and knows nothing about imports. I'm wondering how much bigger to go from stock on the intake and exhaust ports on the first gen b16a head. Also should I go w/ a 3-angle or 5-angle valve grind? Any help will be greatly aprreciated. Also IM a reply if techs like this is so secretive.

Is it for a project grade? or you just want to work on it at the shop because they have the equipment? I doubt they have a Serdi Valve Seat machine. You wont be able to do angled valve Seats accurately.

I say keep your headwork at home or send it out to get it done professionally, if you plan on using the head .

It is so easy to f**k up a head! Everything is tiny and delicate compared to domestics. Also, your classmates & including your domestic fan professor might set you in a direction to take off material in the ports and make them real shiny. Phauk them!

I have one professionally done. Now I want to learn how myself--besides why not if they have the machine. I ask the teach and he says he don't know and don't care much about these imports (very biased against imports--he have an all motor buick muscle car; quote"the American Way is the only way to go" unquote. I told him anything that can be done to a domestic, can also be done to imports. I'm the only one in the whole class to bring in an import motor and takes all the **** talkin day by day. Well anyway, anyone willing to help will always be appreciated.
