Default polyurethane foam (air filters)

does anyone know if you can wash these filters? i've heard using mild soap and water is okay. i have a old style Airinx filter, but i can't find a replacement. i'm thinking i can use a comptech replacement filter.

if anyone has ant information on this i'd appreciate it. thanks

Anthony

I believe the HKS ones you can't wash. They contain some oil that's supposed to help in filtration.

The HKS foam is different than the filter i'm talking about. the foam is like the Comptech intake foam.

I know you can wash the Comptech Foam piece, I do it after every oil change.

You also need to re-oil it after you're done washing.
