Default polishing wheels

Not sure if this is the right place, but my question is has anyone here tried polishing the lip of there wheels? I really want to polish the lips of my HX's. I called a shop about it but they wanna charge over $100 dollars for each. Let me know what i need and the steps.
Thanks

wetsand..wetsand and westand..then get some metal polish and you're good. start with 600 move to 1000..then 1500..after that it should be pretty dull...the metal polish will gloss it right up
