Default Point me in the right direction please.

Hello all.

I'm sure this has been posted on several occasions, but I guess I'm just not searching for the right thing. I plan on haveing my car dyno tuned, but I have to get it there. I have a p30 that I'd like to chip for the time being only to get it to the dyno. Is there a way to do it?

I've been reading that the ebay chips arn't worth the chip there burned on, and not sure if I want to take the chance.

Can someone provide me some clarification?

thanks

If I chip my p30 with an ebay chip will this be alright to drive with for the time being. I was on another site that explained how to chip, I just need to know from someone with experiance if this will work.

thanks

get a basemap made by your tuner and limp the car to the dyno. or just tow it.

my dyno guy said that he has not seen a good base map for the h22???? does this sound right? towing is not really an option its 160 miles away, and my truck is a pig on gas. will one of the spoon/mugen ebay chips be ok to run until I get it dyno'd. don't mind wating money if it will get me by.

can anyone give me the part numbers for the chipping kit I should buy for the P30 for the h22 not running egr, but would like to run the IAB's not nessessary though.

anymore help is really appreciated.

what's done to the engine that needs tuning? if it's a fresh rebuild with high compression, big cams, etc. i wouldnt even risk it with a generic "spoon/mugen" chip.

nope just a stock Jdm H22 w/lsd. I figured a chiped p30 (have one with the car) could get me by, but figured the dyno would make it run right?

is the price of the chip (that you say you dont mind wasting money on) more than the amount of money you think your truck would use on gas or the amount you just dropped into your motor if you blow it on the way there on an ebay chip?

Good Point!!! But just confirm for me that a stock motor won't run on the ebay chip?
