plz help!!!
i posted this before but i just cant get any where with it.so sorry but im in desperate need of help.
i have an 86 honda accord and one day i was driving it and pulled over and then restarted it. After restarting it, it died in seconds. After that it wouldnt start. We popped the clutch and it would run at high rpms but after it died again it wouldnt start. I have replaced the cap, rotor, plugs, wires, fuel filters and now the coil, but i just found out im not getting spark even after i replaced the coil...it acts like it really wants to kick over but it just isnt.i have looked at the wires the best i could to make sure none were bad but i dont see nething wrong.Honda said to check the ignition igniter but the guy at the parts store said it wouldnt be that since i can pop the clutch and it starts. THANX FOR ANY HELP!!!

If you're NOT getting any spark, then you'll not be able to start it by popping the clutch any more. If that's true, the ignitor might be the problem. But don't forget this might have been caused by flaky wiring in the first place.
borrow a dist form some one and try it out
hondas have junk dist. (or is it we beat them to death)
anyways the crank angle sensor not reading rite somethings is a normal honda/acura problem
if u can t get a dist. get a smart tech. with a dso to check ur crank and cam angle pluse strength

so should i go ahead and try the ignitor??? I KNOW its getting fuel...i can smell it really bad even when i just crank the engine for a second. the thing im affraid of though is i kinda live in the boonies and i want to do the work myself but i dont have nething for the timing and i dont know much about that...so im hoping its only something like the ignitor....thanx for the help guys

now test ur ignitor
see the two wire connector at the dist.
splice into the blue wire and tap it to ground (lay a test light on the valve cover
wire one side to the postive of the battery and the other to the neg. of the ignition coil) it should light up
