Default pleeze help a newbie with intake

I just got a 97 civi ex and i don't really know too much about performance yet but i'm slowly learning. i plan on getting an intake system but i'm nt sure what to get. i se different types like the AM cold air induction systems and then theres the ones with te front mount intake and the intercoolers and so on. whats the diffrence between the different types of intakes and what do you guys recomend. I want to get better horsepower.

Front mount is cheezy.

Whatever you choose, don't get that.

i recommend Iceman intakes. They have a nice sound to them and can be convereted from short to CAI easily, since it comes in 2 pieces already.
