Hi all. My car just came out of the body shop. I have no engine and most of the engine compartment has been dismantled. The problem I have is MY WINDOW IS DOWN. I need to roll em up but I have no power. How do I get my window up before it rains?!??!!? PLEASE HELP!!

if you have all the wiring still in place, I would assume you could just hook up a battery for a minute. but I would think there is a manual crank somewhere like that little hole in the headliner so you can move the sunroof without power. if you are really in a pinch, you could take off the door panel and wire battery power right to the window switch. if you don't have a battery around, borrow someone else's car for a few minutes.

 

Thanks. All the wiring is not on the car. I threw in a battery and connected the fuse box under the hood but that only powered the locks and my heater/ac. What wire would I tap to directly power the switch??

 

ok, my haynes manual is for 90-93 and I don't know what you have, but here goes:

assuming 4 doors just in case, these are the wires that should be coming from a power source to the master switch:

left front: white/yellow
right front: blue/black
left rear: green/black
right rear: yellow/black
