Please....... Help me pick a Header?
I know everyone asks this question but.......I have no idea which way to go, 4-2-1 or 4-1? I plan on spending $300-$400 at most. I have a 99 si with an aem cai, thermal R&D. I was planning on a dc sports 4-2-1, but now I hear good things about the dc 4-1 jdm. Are greddy, comptech or apexi any good for my application? Thanks for any advice in advance. -Dave
JDM 4-1......not because it is JDM but becuause it is a great 4-1 header.......the collector is very unique.....instead of putting all four pipes together like a box, it put them together two in the middle then the other two slightly spread and up more to give you better ground clearance. And it is a Honda header.
Or you can do a search for "the great header test" probably in the archives, lots of different headers tested to see which one put out the best power.

What is the "Big" picture you have for your car. You want to match the header to the driving conditions, your going to be in. No point having one designed for top end, and your stuck in every day traffic low end range.... hehehe
Look at the torque rating compaired to stock at the low end.....it is still better.
For a B16, I would think you would want a 4-1 because they give you power up top and the 16's need to have the power up top.

my friend just got 2.5" carsound cat and 2.5" es oval, which header would you suggest he get for a b18c1 in a 93 hatch

JDM 4-1 is your best bet for the money. Mugen and Spoon are to much money. If a JDM 4-1 is out of your price range get a JDM DC 4-1
If high RPM drivingis what your doing..then the JDM Integra Type R 4-1or DC JDM 4-1 is the way to go. Otherwise If midrange daily driving is more important....then I'd go Apexi or 5Zigen.
