Can someone please explain this to me. If you have a JDM ITR motor and you put CTR pistons in it it will give you more compression. This doesnt make since to me cause the JDM ITR already has a higher compression then the CTR motor. I know it does make more compression but I just want to know why.

Man its really cool to know that. IMO. So if I put the CTR piston in a B20z block would that also give me a higher compression, or would I have a valve clearance issue. If so what would you have to do to put the CTR piston in a B20z block.

would a stock bore ctr pistons fit ok on a 00 si?
i heard you have to mill 1mm of each side of the rod. if thats true, where can i take it to get it done and how much does it usually cost?
thnx. guys

That's why the JDM ITR is 11.1. Even though it has a lower piston dome than a CTR piston, the 1.8L stroke compensates, along with the P73-A00 piston creates an 11.1 cr.
The B16B is 1.6L with a higher dome of course puts out 10.8cr. It being 1600cc looses the compression ratio battle, because it's not compressing as much air & fuel as the 1800cc ITR engine.
hth.
