piston and connecting rod cleaning
im about to rebuild a d16z6 and im wondering about cleaning the pistons and connecting rods while still connected. manuals jsut say to clean them in a solent, but wont that get in the pin destroying the lubrication?

You could always give them a bath in solvent, and keep changing the solvent until it stays clean, and then give them a bath in oil.
Just an idea... Best option is to pull them apart.
