Default Piston color/appearance

I just pulled my spark plugs out to check them (stock plugs, 62,000miles) and will be replacing them with NGK BKR6E-11's. Anyways, I looked down the hole to see what the pistons looked like and they're kind of crusty/black looking. What should they look like after 62,000 miles? It's a B16A2. I've changed the oil every 3-3.5k miles and on a recent dyno pull, made 141hp to the wheels. I'm in the process of finishing up the 60k maintenance.

Post pictures of healthy pistons...

its most likely just carbon build up ... could help and could hurt... it raises compression ... but it also makes hott spots which can cause detonation ... i would reccomend a top flush!

u should be ok..run some good octane booster or fuel system cleaner...enough to foul ur plugs then once the tank is gone replace the plugs with new ones. it should clean them up pretty good.
