I have a b16 swap in a 93 civic, I took my engine apart because it suddenly shut off. Can i reuse the pistons? it had carbon build up but i can clean that off and they have a brownish color on the sides and top.

yes but why did you take ur motor apart when it stopped?

that's what i was thinking! and now that it's apart why put stock pistons back in it.

i dont have the money for better pistons...and there was a squeaking noise form the block when i rotated it by hand. is ur oil at the right level and whats the color of ur oil? i know sometime on cars if ur oil gets to low the car will try and keep u from starting it, otherwise check ur vacuum lines. and you said you got spark and fuel on ur other post, did you check all spark on all spark plugs? because when u said u had fuel on ur spark plugs that could mean ur not getting any spark or very little, try a diff coil or put ur msd setup back up and check all ur grounds including the one on the thermostat housing, i had a problem with not getting any spark and after a few days of buying parts messing around i finally found that all i had to do was clean the dam ground on the thermostat housing-_-

i guess im doing an overhaul now and i took the msd out and got a stock cap and rotor. if it still doesnt work ill check my lines. i know my wiring harnes is getting old because the ends are about to fall off.
