Default Piston acceleration

In case anyone here is interested:

I just graduated and moved back in with my parents, so I've been pretty bored....
I wanted to do up the B16b, but I couldn't find the R/S anywhere.

That's pretty cool. But, how'd you get the raw data for that?

Piston Acceleration = ((N squared x L) / 2189) x (1 + 1/(2A))

N = crankshaft speed in rpm
L = stroke in inches
A = rod/stroke ratio

Or you could visit Engineer's Edge for even more automotive formula's.

Greg
If you're talking about about R/S, the b16b is higher. It is a destroked B18C (although I did read sources claiming otherwise).

If you're talking about the acceleration, the b16b would be a little lower due to that R/S, but I don't think the difference would even show up on that graph.

Wow, that graph makes so much clear to me now!
