Pisssed....Hasport Cable to Hydro Conversion, Another Problem!
Well to start off this thread id like to say that i did the Cable to Hydro conversion about 8 months ago. Not sure if its just my car or what but the adjustments are so picky......
One day it will be perfect, the next i wont grab, or it wont disengage. This is all due to the adjustments on the conversion.
Well lattly ive been having problems keeping the M8 bolt tight (the bolt that goes into the shift fork to keep the right pressure in the right place and to make sure it stays on). So last night at the track the bolt fell out somewhere, none the less i still drove it and it was fine. Today i went to home depot and got another bolt and it was fine all day. Then this evening i took my car out and meet some people and when i went to start my car back up i heard a weird load rattling noise and immediatly turned my car off. Well come to find out some weird way that this bolt came loose and fell into the opening by the shift fork and fell down by my pressure plate/flywheel area.
I had two choices start it and take the chance of it jamming somehting up and breaking **** ot just use my free roadside assistance......i took the roadside assistance. Better safe then sorry.
Not that this is a HUGE deal but it is gonna take some time to either somehow fish it out or pull the transmision slightly off to remove it, it still sucks. Just seems like one thing after another with this kit. Hasport is great **** and ive always loved their products, i guess ive just been having bad luck with this conversion. Now i think i have came to the conclusion that i will either go back to cable or i will do the complete conversion (slave cylinder, resivor, and all). Enough with my rambling.
Has anyone else been having problem with the kit?

my buddie has one , i don't belive he's has any issues... maybe you should put some mild loctite on the screw
I have heard (but haven't personally seen) that the whole bracket system is thin and very flexy leading to imprecise clutch action. I think it just needs some improvements.

I recommend some loctite and using an RSX clutch fork boot. The RSX clutch fork boot will keep stuff from falling into the clutch housing, and the red loctite should keep the bolt from coming loose. To be honest, this is the first time I have heard of that bolt coming loose, and perhaps we can add a locknut to the bolt to keep that from happening again.
If you'd like, call Hasport and ask for Joe, I'll send you out a few things to keep you on the road..

Im def going to be putting some locktite on there as soon as i can get this bolt from the inside... I will also get the RSX boot, i had no idea that would work.
Good looking out, thanks!
