Default pinging noise while driving...

eversince i advance my intake cam gear to +3 and advance my dizzy... my car has been pinging..?? do yall know what would be the problem...? im thinking my timing might be off??? thanks.

timing might be alil off could be detonation wouldnt be able to tell without hearing it

U do know that if you advance the intake cam 3 degrees that u also advanced the ignition timing 3 degrees at the same time right??? (they are connected u know)

So.. if u already jacked the timing 3 degrees from teh cam, then went and bumped the dizzy you are running alot of timing, U need to retard the dizzy a degree everytime u advance the cam a degree in order to maintain 16 degrees of timing.

and i forgot to mention, you are most likely detonating with all that timing and thats why u need to pull some of that back.

yup.. it was my bad without using a gun... but **** its slightly pinging right now... is there any other way to take that pinging noise out...?

retard the timing on either the cam gears or the distributor! ITs that easy!
