pillow mounts

what are the adv. of having pillow mounts as to not having pillow mounts?

The ones with the metal spherical bearings transfer allot of road noise. They clunk, chatter, knock. But they are making the shock do its job instead of flexing rubber bushings.

IMO For a daily driver not worth it. Unless you don't care about ride comfort and take your car to the track regularly.
