well im new here and could not pull anything up on the search button about performanec chips and /or eliminating the govenor ( im in the process of buying a 94 del sol s would a chip help if i found one at all and how would i get rid of the govenor

if the ecu is stock it must be socketed....then you can put a chip in it
stay away from ebay chips

 

ok another dumb question ...what is socketed? and since this is my 5th post am i still allowedto post today?

 

ecu must be modified to accept an external rom or "chip" as its refered to
