pcv/catch can issue
It seems like i may have done something wrong in setting up my catch can system.
When i first did it, just as a breather,i had tapped the port on the block where the factory filter box goes, ran a reducer to a 90° nipple, ran a hose to the breather box, and had a house from the valve cover to the breather box.it had no vacuum, just a third fitting to filter.
I noticed it was always most where i had the breather box mounted, and the filter was always wet, so i decided to go to a true catch can system.i made another box, this time with the hose from the back of the block to a nipple on the can, then a pcv valve as the exit, to the vacuum port on the intake that the factory pcv system uses.
the box seems to fill up with oil rather quickly, I'm having to add roughly a half quart every other day, my plugs show no signs of oil burn, so I'm left assuming its all going into the can. What am i doing wrong? There is no way i should be sucking 2 quarts of oil into the catch can every week. Does anyone have any ideas?
in case it matters, its a z6 with a6 pistons, bisi level 2 cam, light port job, milled a total of .030, has a header and skunk2 throttle body.

Plug the stock PCV with a freeze plug. Tap the front of the valve cover with two -10AN ports and run lines to a vented can.
Or
Run a line from the valve cover nipple to a catch can and a line from the catch can to PCV; can is vented.
Or
Run a line from the valve cover nipple to a catch can and a line from the catch can to PCV; can is vented.
So either way, plug the stock pcv boss in the block, then use the nipple on the valve cover *** the new source to draw vapors from the crank case?
Yes. Remove the line from block to PCV valve. Run line from valve cover nipple to catch can and another line from cat to PCV valve. Use a vented can.

Them pcv valve still goes to the intake manifold? Sorry to seem like an idiot, it just seems like that would be a vacuum leak basically. I just want to make sure I've got it to a "t"before i go changing this again, because this will be the 3 Rd, and hopefully last, time I'm going through this.
No worries, its better to ask 10 times versus doing it wrong.
I made a mistake, I forgot the PCV is linked to the intake manifold, remove the line from the PCV to the intake manifold.
So, keep the PCV box as it is but remove the line from PCV to intake manifold, plug intake manifold, run a line from valve cover nipple to catch can and another line from catch can to PCV. The cat needs to be vented for this to work.
The catch can is basically placed between the engine and intake manifold, the goal is to remove the vapors/oil deposits and not reintroduce them back into the engine.
