Default Pause in acceleration?

I was getting on the on ramp to the highway, I'm in 3rd I'm accelerating and all of a sudden the car stops to accelerate, the rpms don't stall, they don't start to fall, I just stay at 2800 rpms for about 2-4 seconds while pressing the gas.

Then it stops, everything goes back to normal and I go on my way. I'm curious as to what it could be because this kind of stuff is never a 1 time deal with a Honda. I just replaced the fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap and rotor and the ignitor in the distributor within the last 3 months. I don't know if it gave me a cel light because I have a vtec ecu on a d16z6 motor that doesn't have the vtec harness so I always have a cel. Any idea on what this could be? Would appreciate any input.

I would start by checking the TPS. and all the connections to your coil/ICM. 94
