Default Passive Rear Wheel Steering

I'm not talking about rear steering as in the preludes but the passive rear steering in the 88rex si and other cars on the market. I understand that I improves handling but how? How exactly does it work.?? the 88 si has it but no other rex's do, but their suspension is very similar so what are the parts that make it so??

I'm very curious and was unable to find anything under a search and was hoping someone wiser than myself could help out.. Thank you.
