Default Parts for a cable B16 trans?

If you have a cable B16 trans (S1), and it grinds 3rd gear what parts interchange with this application? Please dont refer specialty shops who rebuild trannys, we can rebuild it. I just cannot find any information on what US parts will work in the trans. Ideally I would like to get a new 3rd gear, synchros, hub and the slider. Thanks

Billyjoejimbob!!!!!!!!!!!!

The LS gears will work, but you need the complete 3-4 set from both shafts, and the gearing isn't as good.

I might have a spare set on hand..........

If thats the case I would assume 92-93 GSR parts would work. If so that would be nice since the gearing is much better

If I recall correctly, the hub ring/slider/fork are larger on the 92-93 GSR tranny.........

I'll cross reference some part numbers tonight.........

Im going to open the case this week sometime. Ive had one good friend tell me there is NO USDM counterpart that will work in the cable B16 trans and had another good friend tell me he swears 92-93 GSR stuff will work.

sorry, been swapping a maunal subframe into a PS Sol, along with other suspension upgrades.

But I did build a JDM B16 tranny using Y1 case, 1-2, and FD, added JDM S1 3-4 to cure the fucked up 3-4 gears, then dropped in a USDM 5th for low highway cruise rpms.

I amsposed to have a S1 gearset coming that doesn't grind. I need the 2nd gear/syncro set off of it. If you can't find a 3rd gear set let me know, I can sell you the set of my gearset.
