Default b16 cable trans rebuild

I have a 90 b16 cable trans that is in need of a rebuild. I need to find parts for it. Since they didn't have cable b16 trannies in the states, I am clueless as to where to find parts for it. Does anyone out there know if the 92-93 GSR trans parts work, or of some aftermarket company that isn't too expensive that sells parts?? I found some performance parts, but they cost an arm and a leg, which I don't have at the moment. Thanks in advance.

GSR YS1 parts will not work. You need to find out what B16 it is (S1, Y1, etc) first. Then you can order new parts from gearspeedinc.com. That is the only place I have found that carries new parts for JDM cable B16's.

Any tips on identification? There were no markings on the trans.

Split it open and count teeth.
