id say 1-3 g's is reasonable for a NON-half *** job

 

Depends on many factors:

Prep work, Primer coat, color (metallic, pearl, candy, cameleon, etc.), type of paint, #of coats, clearcoat, Paint door/trunk jambs, Remove motor for engine bay paint, etc...$1k to $4k+
