Default P72 Head Defect?

I went to clean up my cylinder head on my 01 GSR. When I looked at my exhaust ports I noticed this on cylinder 4 (closest to the tranny and vtec selenoid). I am assuming this is a defect, but since it is in the exhaust port and not the intake do you think it would pose an issue after I rebuild the engine since it will alter the volumetric efficiency for that cylinder?

I cant see the pics but I already know what you're talking about. Its not a defect. Honda originally cast the head with the idea that having an EGR valve may be necessary for emissions. It wasn't needed so they continued using the same casting molds.
