my buddy just got a p28 for his b16 swap. will the p28 run the b16 ok or are the base maps too different? i figured since they are both 1.6ltrs, they might be similar. he will be chipping his p28 in a few weeks. how will the car drive with a virgin p28? should he just get a p30? his car is a 93 civic dx
Or, when he plan to chip it anyway, he should chip it right now - at least with a stock P30 program. If you only need to fire up the engie to check everything after the swap and bleed the cooling system, i think the p28 will do it, too. Just don't beat it with the wrong ECU or wrong code.
