Default oxygen (air/fuel) sensor/DC Headers *NEED HELP*

Hi, I'm having a problem with my DC 421 ceramic headers and thought somebody might have a solution.

I own a '02 Accord 4cyl (F23A4 ULEV) and I installed the 421 DC Sports Ceramic Headers.

When I installed them, I made sure I disconnected the battery but afterwards the Check Engine Light came on. I checked the wiring and noticed that the headers melted the oxygen (air/fuel) sensor straight through. So I used 22-gauge "connecting wire" from Radio Shack and re-wired them. They seem to be fine but maybe after 2 hours of driving, the CEL comes back on.

I did the CEL code hot-wiring and got the code 61, which is "Primary Heated Oxygen Sensor (Primary Ho2S) (Sensor 1) Slow Response". Then I decided to try running the car without the oxygen (air/fuel) sensor.. then I started getting code 45, which is "Fuel System Too Lean" or "Fuel System Too Rich".

Here is a picture of my sensor and plugs..

I want to avoid buying a $200+ replacement sensor for my car, so if anyone has any solutions, PLEASE HELP. Thanks in advance.

You could buy some male/female connectors from your local auto parts store and then BAM it's done.
