overheating only on long drives
99 civic dx d16y7
just recently rebuilt and everything is new
(water pump, thermostat, head gasket, bearings rings ect)
ecept for radiator cap
what happens is it over heats on long drives like 300 miles plus, and i have to put water in
i just realized that it doesnt burn fluid, it just shoots it out the radiator into the over flow and the over flow overfills and i lose fluid that way, in short distances, it shoots some in there but when it cools down, it sucks it back up, when i drive, it doesnt suck through the over flow just shoots in
ive tried bleeding it out but still no luck, what you think the problem is?

Well, it seems the things people do not replace during a rebuild are the first to go bad, replace the cap, or at least have it tested for holding pressure.
