Default optima in a civic

my question concers putting an optima in my civic but optima only makes batterys for accords could i put an accord battery im my civic????

optima makes batt's for civics. i ran one almost 2 years ago, it lasted 3 months then one day within 15 minutes of running into the store car and everything off, not even hazards on, it crapped out completely. i had a honda batt in since and never had one issue. i never had an issue with the battery before the optima but i was trying to do preventive maintenance and put in a better battery. i was wrong.
