i was told the JDM type R 4-1 header was the best for hp gains even over popular brands like DC sport. does anyone have the type r header and can tell me how it is?

also when considering an aftermarket intake manifold..does it matter if you go all-motor or f/i? if it doesn't, which brands are perfered? i hear a lot about the edelbrock mani and skunk2. all opinions welcome. thanks in advance.

 

i have heard that the type r header is better too but i just went with the jdm dc header. as far as the intake i would say the edelbrock is a lot better for fi and the skunk is better for all-motor. the edelbrock really helps in the higher rpms it doesn't really show too many gains in the low and mid range.

I've got the JDM ITR header, I love it. Its strong, and a quality header. As for intake manifold, use a ITR manifold. Don't waste money on a skunk 2 when its the same thing as an ITR.
